This page sets out important information about what ConsensusIntel does, what this website is for, and the limits of what blockchain forensic analysis can establish. Please read this before engaging with our services or relying on anything you find here.
Technical Analysis Only - Not Legal Advice
ConsensusIntel provides technical analysis, forensic investigation, and expert witness services related to blockchain transactions and digital assets. Nothing on this website, including articles, case type descriptions, service descriptions, or any other content, constitutes legal advice.
If you need legal advice about a specific matter, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction. ConsensusIntel is not a law firm.
No Attorney-Client Relationship
Using this website, browsing its content, or submitting the contact form does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and ConsensusIntel, or between you and any individual associated with ConsensusIntel. No professional relationship of any kind is formed through website use alone.
Any attorney-client relationship between you and an attorney you engage arises separately through a signed engagement letter with that attorney. ConsensusIntel does not represent clients as a lawyer.
No Consulting or Expert Engagement Created by Contact
Submitting the contact form does not create a consulting, expert witness, or professional engagement with ConsensusIntel. Every engagement requires a separate written agreement, executed after a conflict check and mutual agreement on scope, deliverables, timeline, and fees.
Until such an agreement is signed, ConsensusIntel has no obligation to perform any work, maintain confidentiality beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy, or take any action on your behalf.
Case Examples Are Hypothetical
All scenarios, case examples, and illustrative fact patterns on this website (including those on the Case Types page) are hypothetical and are provided for educational purposes only. They do not describe actual cases, actual clients, or actual transactions. Any resemblance to real events or persons is coincidental.
No Outcome Guarantees
ConsensusIntel makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees about the outcome of any legal matter, investigation, or forensic engagement. Blockchain forensic analysis provides technical findings about on-chain activity. Legal strategy, case outcomes, and judicial decisions depend on many factors well beyond the scope of technical analysis.
Past analysis in other matters does not predict results in your matter.
Limitations of Blockchain Attribution
On-chain analysis identifies patterns of activity associated with wallet addresses. It does not, by itself, prove the identity of the person who controls a given address. Connecting an address to a specific individual requires corroborating evidence such as exchange records, device forensics, or other documentation.
ConsensusIntel states attribution conclusions at appropriate confidence levels and distinguishes clearly between what the blockchain record demonstrates and what can be inferred from additional evidence. Overstating attribution would be both inaccurate and harmful to the cases we support.
Accuracy of Website Content
ConsensusIntel maintains this website in good faith and strives to ensure the accuracy of its content. However, blockchain technology, cryptocurrency markets, and the legal landscape evolve rapidly. Content published on this site may not reflect the most recent developments.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currentness of any content on this website. You should independently verify any information that is material to a decision you are making.

This website uses Resend for contact form email delivery and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Your use of this site is subject to the terms and privacy policies of those third-party services, in addition to our own Privacy Policy.
