Effective date: May 15, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of consensusintel.com (the "Site"), operated by ConsensusIntel ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Site, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms. If you are accessing the Site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Services
The Site is an informational website describing ConsensusIntel's blockchain forensics, expert witness, and litigation consulting services. The Site includes articles, case type descriptions, service descriptions, and contact information.
The Site does not itself provide consulting, expert witness, or forensic services. All professional engagements require a separate written agreement between the client and ConsensusIntel, executed after a conflict check and mutual agreement on scope, fees, and terms.
3. No Attorney-Client Relationship
ConsensusIntel is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Nothing on this Site, including but not limited to articles, case type descriptions, and service descriptions, constitutes legal advice. Your use of the Site does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and ConsensusIntel, or between you and any individual associated with ConsensusIntel.
If you require legal advice, you should consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.
4. Informational Nature of Content
All content on the Site is provided for informational and educational purposes only. Articles and other materials reflect the author's understanding of technical and legal topics as of their publication date. The law and technology evolve; content may not reflect the most current developments.
Nothing on the Site should be construed as a guarantee, warranty, or representation regarding the outcome of any legal matter, investigation, or expert engagement.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, images, logos, and article content, is the property of ConsensusIntel or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site and its content for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not:
- Reproduce, distribute, or publish any Site content without our prior written consent
- Use Site content for commercial purposes
- Modify, create derivative works from, or reverse engineer any part of the Site
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
Reasonable quotation of Site content for purposes of commentary, criticism, or legal citation, with attribution, is permitted.
6. User Submissions
By submitting information through our contact form, you grant ConsensusIntel a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use your submission for the purpose of responding to your inquiry and conducting conflict checks. You represent that your submission is truthful and does not contain confidential attorney-client privileged information unless you are the attorney client or authorized to share it.
Submitting a contact form does not create a consulting, expert witness, or professional engagement. All engagements require a separate written agreement.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CONSENSUSINTEL DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CONSENSUSINTEL AND ITS PRINCIPALS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE OR ITS CONTENT, INCLUDING DAMAGES FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
In no event shall ConsensusIntel's total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to your use of the Site exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ConsensusIntel and its principals, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, and attorneys' fees arising from or related to: (a) your use of the Site; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.
10. External Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including legal authorities, news sources, and service providers. These links are provided for convenience only. ConsensusIntel does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party websites. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms and privacy policies.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
12. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of the Site that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation shall be submitted to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall take place in St. Louis, Missouri. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in the state or federal courts located in St. Louis County, Missouri solely to prevent irreparable harm pending arbitration.
Class action waiver: You agree to resolve disputes with ConsensusIntel on an individual basis only and waive any right to bring or participate in any class action, collective action, or representative proceeding.
13. Termination
ConsensusIntel reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to the Site at any time, for any reason or no reason, without notice or liability. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution) shall survive termination.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if modification is not possible, it shall be severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and ConsensusIntel with respect to your use of the Site and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, representations, and understandings.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this page and post the revised Terms on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of any revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
